I would be interested to know if there is a draft map already for this Laurent site?
If not, I would be gladly to make one. I am myself a G.I.S Specialist and working for the federal Government. My job was to startup a GIS program for our soil scientists in Southern New Mexico.
Any questions feel free to ask
Cheers,
Robert |

I believe there's no formal / offical Map of Laurent yet however, I use Google's Map / Satelite of where it'll be at..
http://tinyurl.com/7cdzz - Satelite version
http://tinyurl.com/abt99 - Map version
You'll see I-90 on bottom of screen and you'll see "diamond" style exit ramps from I-90.. Laurent will be located on southeast of I-90 and Hwy 81. _________________ Gary Holte

I assume by "draft map", u r refering to the town layout. If thats the case, look at the main page and u ll find the final layout of Laurent. The brown buildings are commerical themed, while the white r residental themed. In the lower left hand 'corner' the circle looks to be the town hall/govt. buildings. Marvin can confirm that for us.
Since u r a geologist (sp?) specializing in soil, I m also assuming "draft map" is not the town layout, but the ground underneath. So far as I know, and I agree with gholte, I havent seen one. However, I m also sure the Laurent Company could not proceed with development without one. Marvin can confirm that also. I m feel he may have already responded by private email since he has not mentioned anything here in the forum in response to ur original question. I would like to know how sturdy the ground is. I dont want to have our buildings sinking on farm soil, which is not suppose to be compacted in the first place. Perhaps after we lay down the water, electrical pipings, etc., the rest of the ground can be pounded so its stable as concrete. |
