Good to be back home! A link to Farmers’ Markets and selling
Ahhhh! Sioux Falls, our home, sweet home! (Well, not for long… we’ll be moving to Laurent as soon as we can build our home there!) My family and I flew to Washington, D.C. to participate in Gallaudet University’s commencement exercises. My beloved aunt Laura Smith graduated with magna cum laude in BA. We’re pretty pleased with her, and we all had a great time together, thanks to my mom who helped out by buying airfares for our children. The kids were tickled pink flying on airplanes, riding on Washington Metro and all that.
I also was amazed how beautiful Georgetown was! We just drove through it on way to Gravely Point Park, and that town is just beautiful! The size and scale is just right. Walking, shopping, dining, and much more in a very compact neighborhood. Contrast that with downtown Metro Center… the scale was wrong, despite the fact the mix of uses were there actually, no… the area is pre-dominantly office rather than a balance of residential, office, retail, civic, etc.
Anyway, I found this great link on how to best sell your produce at farmers markets, and I would love to see Laurent have a farmers’ market because of its ideal location next to freeway. Here you go.
